Multitasker Twist: Smart tool for any gun user

From the Multitasker company that brought the Multitasker Series 3, comes the Multitasker Twist, a minimalist version with a vast array of features that puts most multi tools designed for gun enthusiasts and military to shame. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Design:

A little smaller than a permanent marker and designed like a pen, the Twist gives the impression of being that and not much else. In fact, it is quite the opposite. The pocket clip on the outside is very sturdy and will fit nicely in any breast or side pocket, as well as fitting perfectly when inserted in molle. It also doubles as a big flathead. Additionally, looking at it only from the outside, on the rear cap, there’s a turret adjuster for the aimpoint micro sights, but it’ll work with a great many sights, something invaluable for an instructor on range with many students, for quick and easy operation. Built into the front cap, you have an adapter for cleaning rods and brushes which is sunk in so as to be discreet. Twisting open the front cap, you’ll find a 1/4″ driver adapter on the inside . It comes standard with a front sight adjustment tool attached for the M-16/M-4/AR-15 platform, highly practical instead of wasting time doing it with a bullet. The multi tool comes with 10 1/4″ hex bits separately, on a strip, that can be attached instead of the sight adjustment tool. Screwing open the back cap, it reveals three tools. First, is the carbon scraper. A small round tip makes it perfect for scraping off any carbon efficiently. It is designed to work perfectly in conjunction with the M-16 platform. Second, is a pick. It can be used to scrape off carbon in tight or hard-to-reach spaces, as well as pulling the firing pin retainer out when wearing gloves. Lastly, is the pin punch. I’m always cynical about pin punches because I tend to find my finger more than adequate, but I once stumbled on a tough one and was happy to have this at hand. All these aforementioned tools fit perfectly on the external adapter previously mentioned. The Twist comes in three colors: black, coyote tan and multicam.

Material:

The entire multi tool is made out of top-quality material, and the paint coating is just fantastic. We put it to the test and slashed it several times with a sharp combat knife, yet scratches were very minimal and the coating stayed pretty much intact. It’s guaranteed to stay nice through extensive use and continued friction on other pieces of gear.

Comfort:

The Twist is about the weight you’d expect it to be, it weighs enough to feel like a tool, not enough to really make carrying it noticeable. It is built without bulges, very discreet and it won’t grab onto anything because of its smooth exterior.

Storage:

As mentioned before, there are so many ways to carry the Twist securely and comfortably, it’ll make even the demanding types happy, including military operators and LEO. It all fits in snugly.

Versatility:

Along with the bits that come with the multi tool you have a large range of solutions for possible shooting range and military needs. Multitasker have stuffed the Twist with as many versatile features as humanly possible. Small downsides are that the thickness of it may prevent you from getting into tight spaces and you may not be able to get deep enough.

Price:

At an MSRP of about $60, the Multitasker Twist is definitely recommended. I think you’d usually end up spending more for an equivalent tool.

In conclusion, the Multitasker Twist is a fantastic tool built with craftsmanship and of outstanding quality and comes absolutely recommended to LEO and Military as well as any avid shooters out there. It comes at an excellent price point and you can’t go wrong with this piece.
